These terms apply when you use Pixel Keepsake (the “site”, “we”, “us”). By uploading a photo or placing an order you agree to them.

What we do

You upload photos, and we use an image-generation model to create a pixel-art portrait from them. You can preview it free, reroll it as often as you like, then buy it as a framed or unframed print (and optionally a digital file), and we print and ship it to you. Results are produced by AI and vary from one generation to the next. Likeness isn't guaranteed, which is why you see exactly what will be printed, and can reroll for free, before you pay.

Your photos

• You keep all rights to your photos.
• You give us permission to use them only to create, show you, and print your portrait. We don't use them for AI training, marketing or anything else, and we delete them within 30 days (see our Privacy policy).
• You confirm that you took the photos or have the right to use them, and that the people in them (or a parent or guardian, for children) are happy for you to make a portrait of them.
• Don't upload anything unlawful, sexual, hateful or violent, or anything that infringes someone else's rights. We may refuse or cancel any order.

Your portrait

You may use your portrait and any digital file you buy for personal, non-commercial purposes: display it, give it as a gift, share it online. Our themes, art style, designs and site remain ours. We won't use your portrait in our marketing unless you separately give us permission.

If you choose “Feature my portrait” after ordering, you give us a free, non-exclusive permission to show that pixel portrait, with the caption you give us if any, on our website, social media and ads. We never show your original photo, your full name or where you live. For a portrait of people, you confirm that everyone in it (or, for children, a parent or guardian) agrees. You can withdraw any time from your order page: we'll stop using it in new marketing and remove it from our site within 7 days, though we can't recall posts or ads people have already seen.

Prices, taxes and payment

• Prices are in US dollars and include free shipping within the United States. Sales tax is added at checkout where it applies.
• We sometimes test different prices, so prices may vary between visitors and over time. The price shown at checkout is the price you pay.
• Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.

Orders and printing

• We print the portrait you chose in your preview at checkout. Please check it carefully before you pay.
• Once you pay, your order goes to print right away and can't be changed.
• We ship to addresses in the United States only. Delivery times are estimates.

Refunds

All sales are final. See Refunds and returns for the details, including damaged or defective orders.

Disclaimers and limits

The site and portraits are provided “as is”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for it. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that can't be excluded.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Iowa, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.
